This present invention discloses an opposed moving-coil linear compressor with radially magnetized short coils and its manufacturing method. The structure adopts an opposed arrangement to offset mechanical vibrations between the left and right sections, apart from a common base, each section consists of its own cylinder liner, permanent magnet, upper yoke, lower yoke, current-carrying coil, coil frame, piston, upper flexure spring set, lower flexure spring set, upper compression plate structure, lower compression plate structure, upper supporting structure, lower supporting structure, displacement sensor core, displacement sensor coil, displacement sensor support, and machine casing. The permanent magnets are radially magnetized, and short coils are used for the current-carrying coils. In both the left and right sections, the upper yoke, piston and current-carrying coils should meet that the axial thickness at the respective bottom of the lower yoke must be greater than the sum of the axial height of the respective current-carrying coil and the maximum stroke of the piston. The present invention features the compact structure, low vibration, high motor efficiency, and long-life expectancy. It has great significance for the development of highly reliable, long-life, and high-efficiency linear compressors.
